The Best Time to Moisturise

The Best Time to Moisturise

When you grab your moisturiser you have about three minutes to achieve maximum impact. When used correctly a good moisturiser will help you look fresh and awake.

But do you know the exact point when your moisturising ritual is most effective? Most people say morning or bedtime. In fact, your skin is at its most absorbent the moment you step on the bathmat after a shower.

To prevent evaporation drying out your skin make sure you towel dry thoroughly, then apply a small amount of moisturiser (depending on the concentration of your skincare product) to the face and body. This timing tip is a simple way to maximise the beneficial effects of your daily skincare regime. Getting the timing right locks in the moisture from your shower and creates a barrier which helps keep out dirt and pollutants. Regular moisturiser application is also a great way to take a few minutes to think and relax before starting your day.

Why This Skincare Routine Works

When correctly applied, the skin is best able to absorb all the beneficial ingredients of your moisturiser. Deeper skin penetration results in better long term results. The last thing you want is to miss out on the benefits of a product because it just sits on the skin’s surface.

I work hard to ensure the active ingredients of my skincare formulations penetrate the skin as deeply as possible. I meticulously select ingredients that possess the smallest possible molecular structure.

Try It!

If you’re not doing this already, try it before getting dressed up to go out for the evening. Your skin will get a boost for the night and you’ll be laying the foundation of great skin for years to come.
